Meet A favorite blog, and DIY Easter Project

If you love this Easter egg diorama music box as much as I do then go over to one of my favorite blogs Matsutake, and get the surprisingly easy directions. While you're there please check out the rest of her blog. You will not be disappointed. She is so amazing. Everything she does is perfect and inspiring. If she lived in Southern California, I would track her down and make her craft with me. Here is the kitchen stove she made for her kids, and the best part is that it completely comes apart, and stores away.
If I had a boy then I would decorate it with robots, and she makes amazing robots.

Cute little racing robots.

A cute little deer pull toy. You can learn how to make a similar elephant and squirrel pull toy over at Martha Stewart (Oh yea, she has been on Martha...she is that good.)

Zippered throw pillows

This has been a pretty crazy week. My little Bella has had a sick tummy, so every other day I have been going to the laundry mat. Hopefully, we won't have any more problems and we can get back to normal life. (Sorry dad. I'll call you tomorrow, and get myself to the post office.) Anyways, I thought I would let you all know about the tutorial design sponge has on how to make zippered throw pillows. I've learned a lot about sewing over the past couple years, and I am feeling ready for a new challenge...the zipper.

Make Your Own Children's Wall Art

Don't you love these alphabet prints? They are a free gift from the blog Kind Over Matter. All you have to do is print and frame, and you've got some cute/instant wall art for your kid's room.
If you want to do something a little extra with your free alphabet print then you can follow these directions over at the blog Ollie and Lime, where they take a print and attach it to a canvas (by the way Ollie and Lime have some really sweet prints of there own). When we move out of the city and have more wall space, then I will definitely be doing this.

Silhouette Bedroom

A while ago I saw this picture on the blog Inside the Black Apple. Isn't this wall of silhouettes awesome (Most of them were purchased on Ebay). Her whole house is amazing, and makes me totally jealous. Besides having a totally fantastic house, she is a talented artist. I would love to own anything from her etsy shop. Take my advice, check it out.

One of My Favorite Gifts

Today, I thought that I would show you one of my favorite possessions. I received it as a gift from a friend when I lived in Korea.

It might look like a simple book (except for the letters you don't recognize), but don't judge a book by it's cover (couldn't resist the cliche).
Inside this simple Korean book of poems are pictures that my friend drew.

The pictures aren't difficult, but so sweet. I have to admit that I have copied many of these simple drawings on the inside of cards that I have given out.
Don't you love it?
Doesn't get much easier then this.
Wouldn't this be sweet on a little love note.
Hopefully, these picture inspire you as much as they inspire me.

Crepe Paper Garland

Check out how to make this cute crepe paper garland on Life in the Fun Lane. While you're there, you can also be inspired by the furniture she buys cheap and fixes up. Looking at the amazing transformation really makes me want a yard, and get painting.

Things I like

So cute. I know for sure that I will be making these for my girls. You can find the tutorial on the blog Calico. P.S. They are pretty easy to make.

I have two oval mirrors, and they bore me. I have been trying to figure out how to spice them up. This mirror is definitely inspiring me. It reminds my of Anthropology decor, which I love! Go to Bee Wise Bags and get the how to.
I love this wreath! It is made from simple objects, and it totally reminds of Spring, which makes me happy. To learn how to make it then just head over to Mary Janes and Galoshes.

Are you expecting a baby, then make this Mei Tai. It is a traditional Asian baby carrier. I already have a baby carrier, but if I was going to have another baby, then I would be tempted to make me one of these (a girl has to have options, right?). Click here for the tutorial.
